Catalyst staff conducted site assessment and remediation activities at a former urban oil field facility located near downtown Los Angeles.
The Site consists of approximately 0.90 acres and is slated to be redeveloped as a mixed-use residential development.

Catalyst conducted numerous soil, soil gas, and groundwater assessments, and prepared a risk assessment and a remedial action plan that establishes cleanup levels suitable for redevelopment to address subsurface petroleum hydrocarbon impacts to soil and groundwater associated with 18 abandoned oil production/injection wells located at the site. Based on the findings of the site assessment, Catalyst managed and oversaw the excavation of approximately 2,500 cubic yards of impacted soil and the removal of free product from the groundwater using high vacuum dual phase extraction technology.
