Colette Berkenfield

Environmental Scientist
Ms. Berkenfield holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a focus on pollution and contaminants. She specializes in water quality monitoring and field research, with hands-on experience conducting river and stream sampling for cyanobacteria and algae across Northern California. Her background includes environmental chemistry and hydrology, with expertise in cyanobacteria identification using microscopy, chlorophyll-a analysis, and chemical analysis of water samples.

Ms. Berkenfield has participated in large-scale biological surveys for Burrowing Owl and Flat Tail Horned Lizard. Ms. Berkenfield has contibuted to construction quality assurance for vapor intrusion mitigation projects assisting in well installation, soil logging, and sampling of soil, air, groundwater, and soil vapor. Outside of field operations she has helped to create reports, obtain permits, and collect and analyze data.
