Catalyst is assisting RRM (primary contractor) with preparing a Strategic Economic Plan for the City of Carson. Catalyst performed a review of the City’s green infrastructure and economic infrastructure, preparing map sets that included brownfields, natural resources, public assets/facilities, tree canopy, transportation assets, and energy infrastructure. Catalyst synthesized this data in Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analyses and developed recommendations for parts of the City that represent high potential for redevelopment (see map). Additional recommendations include a bikeway/greenway along Dominguez Channel as a potential public resource that provides both value to both green and economic/transportation infrastructure.
