Last Friday, Catalyst Environmental Solutions was proud to serve as a sponsor to the West Ventura County Business Alliance (WVCBA) Oxnard Leadership Program’s Session #6: Energy & Environment Day!

A special shout-out to our very own, Justin L. Campbell (OLP Class of 2018), who designed, coordinated, and led this intensive regional session. The cohort kicked off the morning at the Ventura Oil Field Grub Lease, where Justin set the stage with an overview of Ventura County’s energy footprint. We want to extend a huge thank you to C. Olivia S. at CalNRG Operating for providing an incredibly grounded operator's perspective on California’s regulatory landscape and supply chain constraints, immediately followed by an eye-opening field tour overlooking the Santa Barbara Channel.

Following the field tour, the group traveled to the SoCalGas Oxnard office, where Catalyst Environmental Solutions was thrilled to step up as the official midday lunch sponsor to keep the executive cohort fueled and energized for the afternoon sessions.

Back inside, Justin put on his moderator hat to lead our flagship Energy Panel Discussion, guiding a dialogue on grid reliability, local economic impacts, and decarbonization strategies. Thank you to our exceptional panel speakers for sharing their vital, ground-level insights with the room:
We wrapped up a stellar afternoon with crucial municipal updates from Alexander Nguyen, City Manager for the City of Oxnard, before walking across the street for a fascinating tour of the Agromin Organic Waste Facility with Bill Camarillo, exploring how our regional organic waste is being actively transformed into vital agricultural and energy resources.

At Catalyst, we know that sustainable environmental solutions require a deep, shared understanding between industry operators, municipal leaders, and the local business community. We are honored to continue our sponsorship and leadership of the West Ventura County Business Alliance Oxnard Leadership Program.

Congratulations to the brilliant Class of 2026 cohort for your dedication to our region's economic and environmental future!
