Environmental Scientist

Ms. Bachtel been participating and leading spatial analysis projects since joining Catalyst in 2019. Ms. Bachtel has experience conducting spatial analysis to find solutions for research projects and has experience working with a suite of ESRI ArcGIS products including ArcGIS Pro, Survey123, Collector and ArcGIS Online.
Ms. Bachtel has experience processing remote sensing data and performing an array of spatial analysis to find solutions to her clients’ spatial problems. She was the lead for writing and processing the bare earth LiDAR section of an annual geomorphology report analyzing topographic change in the Santa Clara River.
Her responsibilities include researching and updating historical documents, ground truthing existing infrastructure and collaborating with other consulting firms to acquire the most detailed and accurate data.
In addition to her GIS skills, Mrs. Bachtel has experience navigating public databases and processing, computing and visualizing large datasets using R and Illustrator. Ms. Bachtel strives to incorporate creative and multi-disciplinary techniques to develop spatial solutions and create visually appealing maps that serves her clients’ needs.
